Eleven regional ensembles, organized and run by Tunisia88 alumni. Young musicians from clubs across the country audition, rehearse and perform together every year.
Polyphonic Choirs
Six regional polyphonic choirs that recruit in three windows a year, divide members into regional poles, and rehearse toward concerts in their region.

Members of Tunisia88 clubs apply during the year, and are placed into a regional choir near them.

What are the Tunisia88 Choirs & Orchestras?
Tunisia88 Choirs & Orchestras is a national ensemble program led by alumni. It comprises eleven regional groups: six Polyphonic Choirs and five Arab Choirs and Orchestras. Each ensemble brings together young musicians from clubs in its region to rehearse and perform together.
How do I audition for a regional choir?
Auditions are open to members of Tunisia88 clubs. There are three audition windows each year, in August, October and February. Club members apply through their regional coordinator during these windows.
Do I need to be in a Tunisia88 club to join a choir?
Yes. Choir membership is open to active members of Tunisia88 clubs. If your school does not yet have an active club, write to us and we can help you find out how to start one.
What do the choirs perform?
Both the Polyphonic Choirs and the Arab Choirs and Orchestras perform a mix of original compositions and arranged repertoire. Many pieces are created by club members themselves, drawing on regional musical traditions as well as international influences.
How many choristers take part each year?
Around 400 young musicians audition for and perform in the 11 regional choirs each year.
